I: Indiana: I spent four years living in Terre Haute Indiana where I did graduate work, as well as work as a special education teacher. I worked in Clay County School Corporation in a couple of schools, which was interesting. There was no curriculum for me to use, no supervision to speak of and very few if any materials to use. It was an adventure. This was in the late seventies and early 80's. I am certain by now things are very different. I hope
My oldest daughter was born at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, so there were great beginnings there.

How interesting...my Uncle still lived in Terre Haute then and was active in Special Education....I'm really interested in if you knew him. He's estranged from our family.
Indiana, unfortunately, has had a bad reputation of being backward. However, in recent years, there has been many gains in industry, education, socio-economic status and other areas.
My grandmother lived in Rockville which is really close to Terre Haute. Been there lots of times :-).
